Crash Involving Accused Drunk Driver Shuts Down CS Intersection

July 21, 2014 by Archive

College Station police report two intersections along Longmire between Rock Prairie and Deacon were closed during the Monday afternoon commute due to a major crash.

Investigators believe a SUV was headed north on Longmire when it left the roadway, veered to the right, went over a curb, down the sidewalk, and struck a light pole at Longmire and Ponderosa.

A piece of the light pole fell onto a parked and unoccupied delivery truck.

The driver, 20 year old Eric Percoski of College Station, refused treatment at the scene for possible injuries.

Percoski was arrested for drunk driving.

Officers shut down Longmire and Pinion for a short time, while the intersection of Longmire and Ponderosa was closed between approximately 4:25 and 5:40 p.m.
