Grimes County CrimeStoppers asks you to save Saturday night, January 20th, to say thanks those whose job it is to keep us safe day after day after day.
CrimeStopper President Debbie Grimes says there’ll be awards presented for Officer of the Year, Constable of the Year, Dispatcher of the Year, Jailer of the Year, Support Person of the Year and Reserve Person. And there’ll also be a special award this year that Grimes says you’ll have to be there to find out about for yourself.
The guest speaker will be J.B. Smith, Lufkin P.D.’s chief of policy.
It’ll all take place in the Family Life Center of Navasota’s 1st Baptist Church. Doors open at 6 with Ya-Ya’s famous chicken spaghetti served at 6:30. All officers, their families, and honorees eat free. Donations will be appreciated from all others.
There’ll also be a live and silent auction. To donate to either, call Marilyn Bettes at 936-894-2263.
