A Houston man who broke in to multiple area businesses in December 2017, including a few in Navasota, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.
Last Monday, 23 year old Devante Webb of Houston was handed the 8 years for his role in breaking into Jumping World in Bryan, and then Willie’s Icehouse, Smitty K’s and Joppe Bridge in College Station. The group of 5 that worked together with Webb would use crowbars to gain entry while wearing masks, then look for money in the safes.
During that time period in December, three unspecified businesses in Navasota were burglarized in the same fashion.
Two others from that group with Webb have been sent to prison. Deshawn Webb received four years while Nigel Luchin received 6 years. Each was charged with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
