With just a click of your mouse each day through the end of the month, you can help a 15-year-old, wheelchair-bound form Plantersville girl access her world in ways otherwise unobtainable.
Little Katie Pivonka’s Mom says she recently entered her daughter in an online contest that could possibly result in their family receiving a Wheelchair-Accessible Van.
Jamie Pivonka tells Navasota News Katie was diagnosed with a form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. That means, she explains, on a good day the young girl suffers around 100 seizures and when it gets bad nearly double that amount.
But despite her affliction, this doting mother stresses that Katie doesn’t let it get her down, as her daughter tries to learn and do more everyday.
And if you’d like to help this brave young girl, Pivonka says you just go to www.mobilityawarenessmonth.com search for Katie Pivonka on the contest page, then vote. And unlike our political elections, you can vote once a day in this one. So please do.
