Once again, there is division in Congress about getting a federal budget approved by the end of September. Senator John Cornyn told Texas reporters last Thursday that he does not expect a government shutdown.
Cornyn says Democrats are taking away the ability for all senators to be involved in creating the federal budget.
Congress also has until the end of the month to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration and pass a new Farm Bill.
