A building located in the Historic Central Business District is slated to be demolished. Located adjacent to City Hall at the corner of Holland St. and Farquhar St. this building is scheduled to be demolished the week of December 18, 2023. A large portion of the roof and several interior walls have collapsed and an evaluation by the new owner has determined the building to be unrepairable.
Navasota City Council held a public hearing in November to receive feedback from the previous and new owners and residents on the matter. The Council ultimately agreed to give the new property owner additional time to determine if the building was salvageable. Demolition crews will be working inside the fenced area. If you have any questions related to the demolition, please contact the City of Navasota building department at 936-825-2961.
