Jobs for law enforcement can range greatly, and things got interesting for Navasota Police on Sunday, as they assisted in a waterfowl rescue.
NPD, alongside the Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens, responded to Patout Pond for reports of an injured duck, which also had a fishing lure in its foot.
The hook was removed, and part of the bird’s beak had to be shaved down from the injury, but it was okay.
The duck was later released back into the pond.
