DWI charges leveled against Navasota man who had BAC twice the legal limit

November 16, 2021 by Andre Perrard

A Navasota man was arrested for DWI on Saturday afternoon after having a BAC over twice the legal limit

That traffic stop happened at FM 2154 and FM 159 intersection, when the driver ran the stop sign. The driver said he was “being dumb” when he ran the sign. He stated he worked at the HEB on Towerpoint, and got off work at 8 am that day. He had since been running errands with no sleep.

The driver, identified as 30 year old William John Haralson the second, then performed field sobriety tests, which he failed.

In looking in Haralson’s car, the officer observed an open beer can, an open 1/5th of Jack Daniels, and a silver cup with a double shot of Jack Daniels.

The arrest report states that Haralson had a BAC of .119 at 2:50 pm, and a second BAC of .201 about three minutes later. Haralson was booked for DWI, enhanced due to his BAC being greater than .15, and was released after posting bond.
