EF-3 tornado in Franklin injures two, volunteers needed

April 15, 2019 by Willy1550

If you’re interested in volunteering to help with the cleanup from Saturday’s tornado in Robertson County, emergency management coordinator Billy Huggins says don’t show up unannounced.

“Contact your local Red Cross or contact the Emergency Operations Center…call there, we will put you on the list and as we need you, we will call you. We do appreciate it. As of right now, we just need strong backs,” said Huggins.

Huggins also says they have all the donated items they need.

The E-F three tornado in Franklin, with 140 mile per hour winds, destroyed 55 residences, one church, four businesses, and one duplex.

No one was killed and two people were hospitalized.

If you would like to sign up to volunteer, call 979-828-6680.
