Grimes County’s total COVID-19 cases count is now near 100, as 8 new cases over the weekend push the total to 99.
The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed the cases on Saturday and Sunday.
Patient number 92 is a female in her 20s, who is hospitalized with exposure unknown. The 93rd case is also a female in her 20s, who is not hospitalized with her exposure unknown. Both reside in the 77831 zip code. The 94th case is a male in his teens, currently hospitalized with exposure unknown, and resides int he 77868 zip code, within the Navasota city limits.
Cases 95 through 99 were confirmed on Sunday to all be five males at the Pack unit, with their hospitalization unknown.

According to the most recent press release, Grimes County now has a total of 85 active cases, 13 reported recoveries, and 1 death as of Saturday, May 23.
A total of 391 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Grimes County.
Officials remind all citizens to continue practicing social distancing and avoid crowds larger than 10 people.
