Election night in Grimes County has come and gone again, and final results have been tallied.
In the most prevalent state level election concerning our county lines, Michael McCaul has won re-election to House District 10, taking 80% of the vote here in Grimes County, and 63% of the total vote.
The only local races on the ballot were in Richards, in three battles for school board. All three sitting members of the school board saw their seats flipped.
Britney Ketkoski took position 1 over incumbent Rex Holland, position 3 was taken by Phillip Roy Burnet over incumbent Debbie Pool, and position 4 on the Richards ISD school board was won by Wendy Ramsey Graves over incumbent Bonnie Stewart.
In the big state wide races, Grimes County voted 80% in favor of Gregg Abbott in the Governor’s race, 78% for Dan Patrick as Lieutenant Governor, and 78% in favor of Ken Paxton as Attorney General. And Sid Miller took 80% of the vote as Ag Commissioner here in the county.
In total, 9,093 voters of the 19,125 registered in Grimes County showed to vote.
