Navasota ISD has been been awarded a check from Entergy Texas in their efforts for saving energy.
According to the district, they received a $111,921.56 check, as part of the Entergy Efficiency Program, which rewards customers for completing energy efficient projects.
Navasota ISD recently upgrades equipment all over the district, including new HVAC equipment, new lighting, and new roofs for both the Junior High and High School. Renovations at the baseball and softball complexes, plus the tennis complex also helped contribute to the winning of the award.
Phase three of the district 5 year old bond project will continue throughout this summer.
