Another big funeral procession headed through Navasota on Friday afternoon.
The funeral service for Sherrif’s Deputy Bryan Pfluger from San Jacinto County passed through downtown Navasota, as the procession headed to Austin.
A few lined the streets as the cavalcade of lights and sirens passed by on Washington Avenue. The procession also passed through Richards and Anderson.
The 36 year old deputy was killed last Saturday. Authorities said he an another deputy were responding to a call in two separate vehicles. Pfluger’s car clipped the other and rolled several times. Pfluger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Procession began in Cleveland and headed 180 miles east to the Austin area suburb of Pflugerville, where he will be buried. He is one of the relatives of Henry Pfluger, for which the town is named.
Funeral Services take place on Saturday.
