Feeling Low In The Summer

June 19, 2015 by Willy1550

The recent spate of bad weather has brought a lot of grief to a lot of folks, and if you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one at the same time, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville has a program designed just for you.

Past sessions of their grief share program, Parish Secretary Gail Sowell tells Navasota News, has seen as many as a dozen regular participants, which allows for intimacy and privacy. But, she quickly adds, the group always has room to help others in need.

Sowell says St. Mary’s began the group to help its own parishioners deal with their tragedies, and it has grown over time to help others in the community, as well.

St. Mary’s grief share program has proven helpful for folks of all ages who are dealing with grief, sowell says, so no matter how old you are, she promises it can also help you or someone you love.

The summer sessions are every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 at the church family life center next to the parish hall. For more call 936-894-2223.
