Fender bender in College Station lands man in jail for Grimes County DWI warrant, plus new drug charges

May 4, 2022 by Willy1550

A College Station man with a warrant for drunk driving in Grimes County was taken to jail this weekend after being caught with cocaine after a traffic accident.

Bryan Police responded to the minor fender bender on Harvey Mitchell Parkway early Friday morning. Upon running 24 year old Jose Daniel Regis’ information, they found him to have the Grimes County warrant for DWI with an Open Container. He also had a warrant out for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1.

During the search of the vehicle, officers found a small baggie of cocaine, which Regis admitted was his.

Regis was taken to jail on the warrants, plus faces new Controlled Substance charges. He remains in the Brazos County jail in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
