Four Caldwell teens have been arrested after firing two projectiles at students.
That incident happened around 1 pm in the Caldwell High School parking lot, according to the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office. The victim reported that she and her friend has been struck with a projectile, causing a welt that did not require medical attention.
A vehicle description of the truck was provided, and it was located in the area. Deputies eventually noted there were four total suspects involved, and were interviewed with parents at the police department.
Deputies discovered a toy gun, called a “Splat R Ball” which shoots “hydro balls” at high speeds, and in rapid succession. Witness statements determined that was the instrument used. Also noted was that the gun was partially painted black, to appear more realistic.
All four were arrested, two 16 year old boys, a 16 year old girl, and 14 year old girl.
The two victims were uninjured, and did not receive medical treatment.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office says evidence has been turned over to the DA’s office, to determine what charges the teens will face.
