The Brazos County district attorney’s office has made plea agreements in five recent criminal cases.
A San Antonio man arrested for committing 39 property crimes in College Station between October and December of last year was sentenced to six years in prison. 33 year old Edward Toscano was arrested in February following 26 more burglaries. At the time of his arrest, Toscano was also wanted on similar crimes in the cities of Austin and Boerne and in Travis, Bexar, Comal, Hays, and Blanco counties.
A Bryan woman in jail since last August after her arrest for selling crack cocaine out of a hotel room was sentenced to 25 years. 39 year old Nicole Anderson had 35 grams of crack, valued at more than $1,700 dollars, along with $1,000 dollars cash, at the time she was arrested.
A Bryan man in jail since March awaiting trial in at least five cases entered a plea agreement. 20 year old Antwaiin Hedge admitted to sexual assault of a child and two other incidents involving deadly conduct. Hedge was sentenced to ten years in prison, and will serve at least five years before becoming eligible for parole. Dismissed were two aggravated assaults and a deadly conduct case involving gunfire.
A College Station man held since his arrest in February has pleaded guilty to continuous violence against the mother of his children. 27 year old David Beal was sentenced to six years in prison. Prosecutors charged Beal with five separate acts of violence between April and November of last year. The victim sustained multiple injuries, including strangulation and bruises on her face and body.
In another domestic violence case, a Bryan man will serve at least two years before becoming eligible for parole. That’s after 50 year old Perry Mitchell was sentenced to four years after pleading guilty to beating his wife with a baseball bat. The incident, which took place more than two years ago, resulted in head injuries requiring hospital treatment and police finding blood on the walls and floor of their home.
