Flooding Relief Meeting In Navasota

September 9, 2015 by Willy1550

If your Navasota home or business was damaged by the recent flooding, you may be eligible for federal assistance. That’s why the City is putting on a town-hall meeting this Wednesday evening.

City Emergency Management Coordinator Jason Katkoski tells Navasota News his office has been getting flooding-related questions he can’t answer, and continues the meeting is being held so you can get all your answers straight from the horses’ mouth.

Katkoski says the Texas Department of Emergency Management will be sending a representative from their Individual Assistance Office, but warns that in the end, it’s the Federal Emergency Management Agency that actually sets the standards.

The Chief says he’s personally looking forward to getting answers to two of his most frequently-asked questions: where is the relief? And why is it taking so long to get here?

Find out for yourself at the City’s Emergency Management Meeting at 6 Wednesday evening September 9 in Navasota City Council Chambers. And Navasota News will be there just in case you can’t be.
