Foreign exchange made easy

August 3, 2018 by Andre Perrard

Have you ever considered hosting a foreign exchange student in your home for a semester? It is much easier than you might think. We spoke with the local coordinator for Cetusa Brittany Straughan, who placed students in Navasota last semester. She says many students from all over want to come to Texas.

She also understands the benefits of hosting, having done it herself a few times. She says the students become like family for life.

Straughan also tells Navasota News that to host, you really just need to provide a warm home and meals for the student since most come with their own stipend usually.

Any willing family just needs to complete a few easy steps to get started. You must pass a criminal background check and go through an in-home interview. But after that, it is not as hard as you think.

For more information, go to www.cetusa.org or you can email Brittany Straughan at bstraughan1@outlook.com.
