Former Brazos County Sheriff passes away

A former Brazos County sheriff who had a 30 year career in law enforcement in the Brazos Valley has died.

Ronnie Miller died last Saturday at the age of 75. Miller was Brazos County Sheriff from 1985 until 1993.

He began his career in 1968 with the Bryan police department and also served at the College Station police department, where he ranked as a captain. After his time as Sheriff, he worked with the Grimes County sheriff’s office for five years.

Callaway-Jones funeral center in College Station is in charge of arrangements, which will be announced later.
