A former Grimes County sergeant has passed away.
According to the Sheriff’s Office on Friday, Don Sowell confirmed the passing of Harold “Bud” Trant.
Sergeant Trans had served the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office for numerous years as a sergeant in the jail division. He retired a few years ago.
Sheriff Sowell said that Sergeant Trant “served faithfully, and with true dedication to his duties. He was admired, and respected, by all he encouraged.”
