Former Navasota Man Gets 3 Life Sentences

August 26, 2015 by Willy1550

A 44-year-old former Navasota man will spend the rest of his life behind bars, after receiving three life sentences last Thursday in the 506th District Court on several counts of sexually assaulting a child

Grimes County DA Tuck McLain tells Navasota News the jury found Juan J Martinez guilty on one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child by contact.

McLain reports the victim’s mother alerted Navasota PD when she caught Martinez and her daughter in an embrace, and would later throw him out of the house and even testify against him in court.

Cases like these happen, the DA laments, and the victims need to be fought for every time.

Martinez has appealed the decision but will still be evaluated in Huntsville before he is finally taken to what McLain believes will be his final residence.

We’ll let you know what the appeals court says, right here on Navasota News.
