Former Navasota man hit with 3rd DWI charge when found stopped in the middle of a roadway

A former Navasota man is facing his 3rd DWI charge after police find him stopped in the middle of the road.

Brazos County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the man stopped int he middle of Wallis Road, near Coutler Field, early Tuesday morning. When officers asked 45 year old Matthew Herd Bouliane why he was stopped mid-roadway, he said he was coming home from doing cabinetry work.

The report says when the officer asked why he was doing cabinetry work at 3 am, Bouliane stared back confused, with no response. He also struggled to find his ID in his wallet, which as in clear view.

Bouliane was convicted of DWI in Fort Worth in 2008, and again in Waller County in 2017. He was released after posting an $8,000 bond.
