Former Navasota man yelling obscenities at officers jailed on resisting arrest charge

June 29, 2022 by Andre Perrard

A former Navasota man was taken to jail this weekend after allegedly resisting arrest.

The report from College Station Police says they were arresting 40 year old Clarence Cordell Johnson, formerly of Navasota, for public intoxication.

When trying to handcuff him, the report says Johnson began tensing up his arms, then began yelling obscenities at officers.

Four officers were used to subdue Johnson, who was taken to jail, and charged with Resisting Arrest. He remains in jail on bonds totaling $4,300.

It is his 5th arrest since 2020.
