A fight between a man and woman in a parking garage in College Station leads to the arrest of a former Navasota resident.
According to the arrest report, Texas A&M Police responded to two people actively fighting around midnight on Sunday in the Northside campus garage. The report says that the man caused physical contact with a woman, stating that he grabbed her hair and wrist while they were in the garage together.
The woman, according to the report, punched and slapped at the mans neck, and kicked at his leg. It was also noted that the two have a dating relationship, which extends from 2014 to present April 2021.
Both the man and woman advised officers that the contact did not hurt or cause bodily injury.
Officers in the report said they made the arrest of both, as they believed that release would lead to continuance of violence.
The man arrested was identified as 22 year old Jakovin Dontray Dickey of Bryan, formerly of Navasota. The woman arrested was identified as 22 year old Onyae Dionjanae Walker of College Station.
Both were booked into the Brazos County jail on charges of Assault Family Violence, and booked on bonds totaling $500.
Dickey also had a warrant out for Evading Arrest in 2019, and awaits trial on drug charges from 2020. It is his 7th time in the Brazos County jail in the last five years.
