Former Navasota resident facing eight counts of Possession of Child Pornography

September 30, 2021 by Andre Perrard

A officer responding to a suspicious person call results in the arrest of a former Navasota man on eight warrants of Possession of Child Pornography.

The arrest happened Sunday around midnight on Texas Avenue. The responding officer made contact with 39 year old Armando Guitron Junior of Weslaco, formerly Navasota. The officer discovered an arrest warrant, and during placing Guitron under arrest, recovered a burnt marijuana cigarette, and raw marijuana in Guitron’s pants.

Total weight of the weed was 0.5 grams. Guitron was charged with Marijuana Possession Under 2 Ounces. However, it should be noted that those charges have been rejected or refused, according to online records.

Guitron was taken to the Brazos County jail on the warrants, which were confirmed to be out of the College Station Police Department.

He faces eight charges of Possession of Child Pornography, and remains in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling $200,000.
