Former Washington County man sentenced to three years in prison for DWI

More than nine years after a Washington County driver was arrested by College Station police for DWI with two prior convictions, he is headed to prison.

Clifford Isbell was living in Bryan when he was arrested In December 2011. More than two years after his arrest, in March 2013, Isbell was placed on ten years probation.

According to online records, Isbell was arrested three times on charges of violating probation, in August 2014, June 2018, and last May.

Last Wednesday, January 20th, Isbell was in Brazos County District Court, where he admitted to failing two breath alcohol tests and having a passenger submit a third test.

Isbell, who was living in Washington County, was sentenced to three years in prison and waived his right to appeal the plea agreement he made with the district attorney’s office.
