If one of your unofficial job titles is “Dog Staff,” you’re invited to bring your best buddy to Grimes County’s 2nd annual Bark for Life on Saturday morning, June 24th at the August Horst Pavilion.
Besides being another way to raise money to cure cancer in conjunction with the Relay for Life, the Relays Dodie Emmons says it also helps our survivors celebrate their 4-legged fur-baby caregivers. Registration for both of you is only $25, which’ll get you a spiffy t-shirt and them a spiffy purple bandanna. Additional dogs are $15 each, but to assure your t-shirt and bandanna, you need to register by the end of this month.
Emmonds says it’s a two-mile walk with your pup. We’re asking for donations for Top Dog, which of course, will be the one that raises the most money. It is all about raising money to battle cancer, after all, which is why shes says they are also looking for event sponsors.
Sponsors will need to commit by the end of this month as well, Emmonds explains, but they’ll even bill you for your actual contribution, if you’d like.
Emmonds also wants to thank Presenting Sponsors the City of Navasota and the Navasota Police Department, for making this year’s event possible in the first place.
