According to a post on the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, this month marks two years of service for K9 Hank. K9 Hank was graciously donated to the office from funds that were raised by Grimes County Crime Stoppers.
K9 Hank is a rescue dog from California, and was trained by Sector K9 Foundation in tracking and narcotics detection.
During his two years of active service he has proven himself to be a great asset to Grimes County.
K9 Hank is credited with the following:
60 narcotic deployments resulting in a total of 1,786.081 grams of narcotics.
Seizure of $7,667.91.
Nine firearms, and hundreds of pieces of drug paraphernalia.
The amount of narcotics that have been seized by K9 Hank has saved hundreds of lives. K9 Hank also has successfully tracked suspects that have evaded on foot.
