The US Postal Service is honoring former President George H-W Bush with a forever stamp. Bill Gicker, director of stamp services, explains.
“A forever stamp is one that is good for the first class, first ounce letter rate,” Gicker said. “If you are mailing a letter or standard sized card, it is the stamp you would use.”
The stamp’s release date is June 12th, and Gicker says the public is invited to a dedication ceremony att he Bush Library and Museum.
“There will be a retail booth there, there will be stamps there…there will be a collectible folio that houses the stamps, and a special cachet to the 41st President,” said Gicker.
Gicker says the stamp will be available at US post offices across the country and online at usps.com. If you would like to attend the event on June 12th, you can RSVP at Bush41.org.
