Gran Fondo Texas Charity Bike Ride Gets The “Green Light” From Grimes County Commissioners

Gran Fondo Texas is a charity bike ride that operates under the 501C3 non-profit, Texas Medical Center Orchestra, established in 2010 to raise money for various beneficiaries each year.
The event has amassed over 15 thousand riders over the years.

This year’s event is scheduled for April 14th and the route, much of which is in Grimes County presented some concerns that were addressed at the March 20th meeting of Grimes County Commissioners Court.

The main concern was construction being completed on the route in time for the event.
Judge Joe Fauth explained.

Co-Founder and Assistant Ride Director, Mark LeBlanc was in attendance to answer questions, and offered an alternative route.

The Commissioners unanimously approved the the Right-Of-Way Permit Application for the https://granfondotexas.org/ bike ride.
