Fire crews in the area responded quickly to control a grass fire in Grimes County yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Navasota Fire, Whitehall VFD, and Rolling Hills Fire Departments all responded to Highway 6 and County Road 330, just outside Navasota.
In total, 12 acres were burned before crews controlled the fire.
A reminder a burn ban remains in effect in Grimes County until further notice.
