Grimes County’s two Small Businesses of the Year will be among those honored on Wednesday, June 7th, at a multi-chamber of commerce-hosted forum in Brenham.
Navasota Grimes County Chamber of Commerce Director Johnny McNally says that not only will each hosting county be honoring their Small Businesses of the Year, he promises that the 4th annual Small Business Forum will be a half-day full of topics of great importance to small business owners, including Building a Successful Small Business, Addressing Cyber Security Threats, and Employment Law Issues.
McNally tells Navasota News the event will be held in Brenham’s Fireman’s Training Center on Highway 290, where a morning forum will be followed by lunch at which all three hosting counties will present certificates to their Small Businesses of the Year.
The two award-winners from Grimes this year, McNally previews, are The Navasota Examiner, who’s been in business for about 117 years, and, Tenaska Frontier Partners over in the Roans Prairie/Shiro area, who’ve been here for probably 20 years. Both companies, he emphasizes, are well-deserved honorees of this award.
Forum tickets are $59 from now until the banquet. Sponsor tables that seat eight are still available for $499 at the Chamber office, online at navasotagrimeschamber.com, or by calling 936-825-6600.
