The Grimes Citizens Advisory Group is crossing into Madison County this weekend in an effort to grow a bigger base set against the Texas Central Railway high speed rail project and the Centerpoint/Cross Texas high-voltage electrical transmission line.
The group’s David Tullos, tells Navasota News, he will be joined by Kyle Workman to inform and answer questions. There’s no built in benefits, Tullos says, for Grimes county in these projects.
Neighbors need to work together with other counties, he adds, to find ways to influence these type projects so that they’re not such a detriment to our counties.
The Madison County Tea Party is hosting an information meeting this Saturday evening with doors opening at 5:30 with meeting at 6, at the Kimbro Convention Center in Madisonville.
