Grimes County adds 12 new cases in weekly COVID-19 update

The latest COVID-19 update from Grimes County adds 12 new cases, no new deaths to the tolls.

According to the press release on Tuesday, the county is now at 631 cases total since March. In all, there are 53 active cases currently in the county, which is up 4 from last week. Navasota currently holds 33 of the 53 active cases.

In recoveries, 8 more people were added, to bring the total number recovered to 568. Of those, 325 total have been in Navasota.

No new deaths were added, as the running total stays put at 11 since March.

For the county as a whole, 8,259 tests have been performed.

For the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, there is some very good news, according to their COVID-19 dashboard. There are zero active cases currently at the Pack Unit, and at the Luther Unit. Across the state, just 13 units still have any active cases at all.
