Grimes County authorities involved in multi-county chase

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office was involved in chasing a Bryan teen on Highway 6 this weekend as he threw drugs out his car window.

College Station police say the driver failed to stop when police pulled him over for a traffic violation. Instead, the sped up and threw a duffel bag out of the vehicle. It was later found by police the bag contained hundreds of dollars, several grams of marijuana, narcotics and plastic bags.

The Grimes County Sheriff’s office picked up the pursuit and chased the man to Waller County. A short foot chase ensued before the man was arrested.

The man was identified at 19 year old Edgar Saenz Jr. of Bryan.

He was charged with evading arrest and tampering with evidence.
