Grimes County Commissioners Approve Committee For Guidelines & Recommendations Of New Residential And Commercial Construction

October 6, 2023 by Willy1550

Grimes County has seen rapid growth throughout the county and that isn’t expected to slow down anytime soon.
At the October 4th meeting of Grimes County Commissioners Court, Precinct 4 Commissioner Phillip Cox presented the idea to form a committee that will investigate and make recommendations concerning the implementation of Grimes County New Residential and Commercial Construction Building Codes within the County.

Cox explained that while there are currently several codes and standards in place, there is a need for more specific guidelines.

Cox explained it would be a fairly in depth committee involving several members with a wide range of expertise, including County Attorney John C. Fultz who advised the court what may be expected going forward
