Add the congressman representing two counties in the path of the proposed high speed passenger train between Houston and Dallas to continue their opposition.
Michael McCaul, whose district includes Grimes and Madison counties, tweeted on Tuesday that “The potential partnership between Amtrak and Texas Central is a troubling announcement for Texas communities and landowners whose rights would be trampled if this project were to advance.” McCaul went on to say “This poorly run project has been disorganized, overbudget, and behind schedule from the start.”
