Grimes County Congressman Kevin Brady visits US-Mexico border, criticizes handling of situation

April 8, 2021 by Willy1550

Congressman Kevin Brady, who represents Grimes County, continues to be very critical of President Joe Biden’s handling of issues at the US-Mexico border.

Brady recently visited the border with a group of his fellow republicans, and described what he saw.

“it is heartbreaking to see these kids jammed into these pods, twenty times more congested for what they were built. Of course, what we heard from the DEA and Coast Guard are the concerns of drug trafficking and human smuggling. They are not just, frankly, apprehending those coming for economic reasons. There are real terrorist threats as well,” Brady said recently.

Brady went on to defend former President Donald Trump, and said he believes Biden is the one to blame.

“He incited this surge, invited these people here. He is denying it. And while at times, he says he says ‘I am flattered by this border crisis,’ in border states like us, we are anything but flattered. There are real consequences here,” said Brady.
