Grimes County Congressman Wants TikTok’s Data Stored In Texas

Grimes County congressman Michael McCaul observed bi-partisan opposition to a plan by the C-E-O of TikTok to store data collected by American users in Austin.

Speaking on WTAW’s The Infomaniacs, McCaul wants not only TikTok’s data, but their algorithms moved to the United States.

Last month, the House foreign relations committee chaired by McCaul along party lines passed a bill that would ban TikTok from all mobile devices in the United States.
