The repairs to the new Grimes County Justice Center following the big Christmas Day water leak are just about wrapped up.
Building maintenance manager Rodney Floyd updated Commissioners at court on Wednesday, saying the final touches are almost done, they are just waiting cove molding installation.
“The shipment we got was for the vinyl tile, so it has to go with those…but we have it prioritized for which department needs back in buckets, so we can make the timeline you all suggested,” said Floyd “We are just waiting on the carpet base cove, which we hope will be in next week…after that, it should be three days, and we will be moving everyone back to their original office.”
That was at Wednesday’s Commission Meeting.
He says too that the Clerks Office items are being itemized for moving, but will take approximately 10 days to fully move them back into the building.
