Grimes County Emergency Management Warns of Possible Flash Flood Conditions and Downed Power Lines

July 8, 2024 by Willy1550

According to Grimes County Emergency Management, “While we are not in the direct path at this point we are on the leeward side of the storm and already experiencing tropical storm force sustained winds at 35-60 mph and possible gusts upwards of 70 mph.

Power outages have been reported by Mid-South and Entergy on the south side of the county as well as areas near Richards and Shiro. We ask citizens to stay off the roads if at all possible as they are experiencing flash flood conditions as well as possible downed power lines and trees.”
