Grimes County employees self-isolating after employee exposure to COVID-19

April 6, 2020 by Willy1550

Numerous Grimes county employees are self-isolating due to COVID-19 exposure concerns.

According to County Judge Joe Fauth, a county employee came in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19. Upon finding out, the employee was immediately sent home.

Last week, the county had a conference call with DHHS., and employees who came in contact were all told to self-isolate for 14 days.

Employees are conducting business from home. The courthouse has been sanitized, and remains open to the public, but the only access is to the Elections Administrator’s office.

The person who tested positive does not live in Grimes County, according to Fauth.
