Grimes County Fair Queen named, plus more results from the first weekend

June 6, 2022 by Willy1550

It is fair time in Grimes County, and things steamed onward this weekend.

For starters, this year’s Grimes County Fair Queen has been named as Demi Harrington.

First runner up was Autumn Atkinson, and second runner up was Avery McKinney, with the court consisting of Taylor Stone, Sophia Willis, Sierra Waneck, and Brianna Tejada.

On the agricultural competition side of things, in Heifers, judging went on Saturday afternoon.

Senior showmanship went to Carson Carter, Intermediate Showmanship to Kaden Leonard, and Junior Showmanship to Rhett Harrington.

Carson Carter’s good night continued, as he took home Supreme Champion Heifer. Demi Harrington, the queen, took home Reserve Supreme Champion Heifer.

Stay tuned during the news three times a day on our station, Willy 1550 and 98.7 FM, for more fair updates!
