Grimes County investigators re-open fatal hit and run case

February 25, 2019 by Andre Perrard

A fatal hit and run case from just over one year ago has been re-opened by the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives hope that new information will help them solve who was responsible for 35 year old Michael Bell’s death in December of 2017. Bell was killed as he was walking to work on Highway 105 toward Navasota when a vehicle struck him from behind.

Grimes County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Kendale Pittman says there is evidence from the scene that is still being analyzed at a state lab. Based on some of the evidence investigators believe the vehicle could be a newer model Forest Green colored Toyota pickup.

If you have any information regarding this accident you’re asked to contact Investigator Pittman at 936-873-6422.
