Grimes County Judge reminds citizen’s to have disaster preparedness kits ready as storms churn in Atlantic

September 21, 2022 by Willy1550

Fall began Wednesday afternoon, and after a quiet Hurricane Season, things have gotten ramped up in the Gulf, with two potential storms lying in wait.

Grimes County Judge Joe Fauth reminds folks, that even this far inland, you need to be prepared.

“There can come a time where it is too late to get prepared. But, you can never be too early to be prepared,” said Fauth. “I just ask the public that you have necessities you need. You have prescriptions, pet food, enough food for you to last a few days, or up to a week. Just be prepared.”

Hurricane Fiona continues to rake the Caribbean, and will not be a threat to our area.

Fauth noted to pay close attention to a new disturbance near Cozumel.
