Grimes County man faces 3rd DWI charge following Monday morning arrest

December 27, 2021 by Willy1550

A Grimes County man driving around in a parking lot near Northgate is arrested for his 3rd DWI.

That happened early Monday morning on church Street, when officers responded to an incident in the parking lot.

The arrest report states that 26 year old Andrew Ray Castillo of Navasota, formerly of Anderson, had slurred speech, blood shot eyes, and began interfering with the incident. Castillo then drove a car across the parking lot with the back door open, which initiated a stop by the responding officer.

Castillo failed field sobriety tests, and was taken to jail on his 3rd DWI charge. It is his 9th time in jail since 2015.

At last check, he remains in the Brazos County jail in lieu of bonds totaling $8,000.
