Grimes County man found guilty on charges stemming from 2021 road rage incident

A driver accused of road rage in Grimes County last year, which left a family terrified, has been found guilty in court.

52 year old Blake Jon Arrington was found guilty Thursday on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Endangering a Child.

In the summer of 2021, Arrington began chasing a woman and her 3 children near Iola. He used his pickup to start harassing the family, unprompted, by trying to run them off he roadway multiple times.

Authorities then say Arrington stopped in the middle of FM 39, and began reversing toward them. He also got out of he car, pounding his fists on the families hood, then drove head on toward them.

The families husband was following behind them, and took action to rear end Arrington, stopping the assault.

Arrington faces 20 years in prison, and is in he Grimes County jail.

Senencing will take place November 20th.
