A man from Grimes County was handed down his prison sentence last week for robbery and sexual assault.

The Brazos County District attorney’s Office assisted the Grimes county DA’s office in the prosecution of a man who admitted to armed robbery and two sexual assaults.

The man, 19 year old Deeldre Richardson, was sentenced to 15 years and ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Richardson was one of two men who robbed the A&B Food Mart in Navasota in August of 2018. The sexual assaults took place in 2017, involving contact with girls under the age of 17.

Richardson did not have any prior felony convictions. He awaits in the Grimes County jail until his transfer to prison.
