A Grimes County man was sentenced to a decade in prison last week for sexually assaulting a 15 year old girl.
42 year old Mace Travis Bonner was given the sentence two years after the assault was reported by the girls mother to Navasota Police.
The girl was determined to be pregnant, and a year long investigation led eventually to Bonner’s confession that the assault happened at an apartment in town.
Bonner could have gotten between probation or 20 years. He must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
